The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Bermuda (PrivCom) has received a generous donation of Warro Goes on an Adventure, a child-friendly privacy book originally developed by the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey. This engaging storybook introduces young readers to the fundamentals of protecting personal information through the eyes of Warro, a curious character who learns how to stay safe in the digital world.

As part of its Children’s Privacy Program and commitment to strengthening privacy awareness across Bermuda, PrivCom has donated a copy of the book to the Human Rights Commission (HRC). This gesture marks the beginning of a collaborative relationship between the two organisations, grounded in a shared belief: privacy is a fundamental human right.
The Human Rights Commission welcomed the gift, acknowledging the clear connection between privacy and the dignity, autonomy, and safety of all individuals especially children navigating today’s digital spaces.
This Saturday, PrivCom will participate in the annual Reading Festival, where members of the Communications Unit will read Warro Goes on an Adventure aloud to children and families. Copies of the book will be available for viewing, along with a survey for parents and children over the age of 14.
“PrivCom continues to champion education, community engagement, and creative tools that make privacy approachable for all ages. The ongoing partnership with the Human Rights Commission reflects a shared mission to uphold and protect the rights of individuals in Bermuda.” – Assistant Commissioner (Operations), Georgia Fevriere
