In the News: February 2020

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner was featured in the Royal Gazette twice in February 2020.

First, in 14 February's "Privacy watchdog is on the case," the paper introduces the island to Commissioner White and asks about his upcoming plans.

In 20 February's "Privacy sector a 'boom industry,'" the commissioner describes the economic opportunities for newly-designated Privacy Officers and his goal of teaching and training Bermudians to take advantage of the data privacy wave that will be washing over businesses at home as well as in neighboring Europe and North America.

In addition, on 28 January the Privacy Adviser, a news publication from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, profiled Commissioner White in "From deputy CPO to DPA: Bermuda's first-ever privacy commissioner."
